DTG vs. DTF: What’s the difference?

👉 DTG (Direct-to-Garment)

• Your design is printed directly onto the fabric using water-based inks.

• The ink soaks into the fibers and is cured for durability.

• It feels soft to the touch and doesn’t crack over time.

👉 DTF (Direct-to-Film)

• Your design is printed onto a special film, coated with adhesive powder, then transferred to fabric using heat.

• The ink sits on top of the fabric, resulting in a vibrant, elastic print.

• Though it feels more plastic-like at first, it softens after a few washes.

• DTF is perfect for bold colors, photo prints, graphics, and detailed artwork. It’s especially great on synthetic fabrics (like polyester or nylon).
